Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective date: October 16, 2026

1. Scope

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for the professional services sold on this website: fixed-scope gigs, projects (fixed-scope packages and quoted custom projects), and monthly retainers. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

Customer support, billing and refund questions: hello@byfahim.com.

2. How to request a cancellation or refund

Email hello@byfahim.com — or use your customer portal once your account is active — with: your name and purchase email; the order or invoice number if you have it; what you are cancelling or claiming a refund for; and any relevant details. We aim to acknowledge refund and cancellation requests within 5 business days.

3. Before work starts

If you cancel before work on your engagement has started, you receive a full refund of amounts paid for work not yet started. For custom projects, amounts paid as a deposit are treated the same way at this stage.

4. After work starts

If you cancel after work has started, you are billed for work performed up to the date of cancellation — for example completed milestones, delivered gig components, or work performed within the current retainer period. Amounts paid for work not yet performed are refunded. Custom project deposits are credited against work performed.

5. Completed deliverables and milestones

Delivered and accepted deliverables and completed milestones are not refundable. If you believe a deliverable is defective, the next section applies first.

6. Defects

Delivered work includes a 30-day defect warranty (unless your quote states otherwise). If a deliverable does not conform to the agreed scope, tell us and we will correct it at no charge. If we are unable to fix a material defect within a reasonable time, we will refund the affected portion of the fee.

7. Revisions and scope changes

Included revision rounds and change orders are not refundable once performed. Choosing not to proceed with an optional change order is not a cancellation of the original engagement.

8. Monthly retainers

Cancel anytime from your customer portal or by email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; service continues through that period, and no further charges are made after it.

Retainer fees already charged are not refunded on a partial-month basis, and unused capacity does not roll over, unless agreed otherwise in writing or required by applicable law. If a subscription payment fails, the affected service may be paused until billing is resolved — a pause does not extend the paid period.

9. Undelivered work

If we fail to deliver agreed work and cannot complete it, we refund the amounts paid for the undelivered portion.

10. Processing timelines

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe. Once approved, banks and card networks typically take 5–10 business days to post the refund to your statement; that part of the timeline is outside our control.

11. Chargebacks

If you have a problem with a charge, contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly. If a chargeback is opened, we may pause affected services while it is under review.

12. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
